This might sound weird, but I didn’t believe in vitamins. I thought they were a gimmick. I thought anything I needed, food could give me. Even when my doctor told me to take Vitamin D – I was like nah, I got this. Googling how to get Vitamin D without taking a supplement.
But for years, I’ve been getting sick far too often. It felt like I was catching every cold, bug, or virus. And that illness would last longer than those around me. Even when I wasn’t sick, my energy levels were low and I wasn’t sleeping well. I was just so sluggish, no matter what diet I was eating or how active I was.
Earlier this year, my doctor did a ton of blood-work, but everything came back normal. Well, my Vitamin D levels were still low – guess that googling didn’t work. Everything else was in a normal range.
. . . But I didn’t feel normal.
About 3 months ago, I decided to try something new. I decided to find a vitamin regimen; incorporating holistic options where I could. Doing research on my own, I felt kind of lost. I went into this with a very negative attitude, if I’m being honest. I was skeptical and thought this wasn’t going to help.
In need of some guidance, I decided to use Care/of. They are the vitamin people with those cute little packets with your name on it. They had me take a quiz, where I could pick my goals.
My health goals:
And at the end, they made suggestions based on my quiz answers. It was easy and I liked the idea of being able to edit month to month or just stop it altogether. At this point I had nothing to lose, it was either going to help or do nothing at all.
I’m about to sound like an infomercial, but. . .
3 months in and I’m like mind blown. I genuinely thought I was going to be cancelling by now, that I wouldn’t feel any different, that it was going to be a waste of money. How wrong was I! I actually feel better, that constant sluggish feeling is really gone. I am sleeping better and ‘knock on wood’ I’m not getting sick like I used to.
Years of feeling shitty and all I needed was some vitamins?! I’m disappointed in myself for being so closed minded, but also so happy this is working now.
I highly recommend Care/of. They really made figuring out what to take and getting me to take it, so easy. If you want to try it here’s a referral code: Care/of Referral
I guess the moral of this is, keep an open mind. Just because you don’t believe in something, doesn’t mean it won’t work. I know I’m going to be more open minded when it comes to my health.
